Hookers... or MAC.... or SLP???

Well I was wanting Hooker LTs, but they are on a huge back order... they said looking at 5 weeks at least untill they MAKE them.

Now MAC is Canadian and I can have them here in a 4 days, mid lenghts and come with a Y so bonus, end up being a bit cheaper... but only like 30 bucks.

Or I can Go SLP shorties and have them in 7 days.

Plans are XE 224/230 with mild head work.

I guess I'm not in a huge hurry or anything, but with this setback its got me thinking about everything.

Welcome to my world man, I cant decide on any headers either. I like LT's but they are all backordered. Mids are great thought but dont put up as good of times. I say if you want the best of both worlds go with AS&M or RK Sport. They are almost the same cept for coating and primary port style. AS&M's are better. Good luck.

There have been NUMEROUS threads about header comparisons. I chose MAC mid lengths for these reasons:

I've still got EGR and A.I.R. tubes hooked up, so they're emissions legal

Easier to install

Better ground clearance

Cheaper...And come with Y-pipe

Great plug access

Did I mention the stock bottom end / full weight / stock suspension 12.0 second passes?...LOL

I have AS&M and I love them....They are expensive as for mid lenth, but the best quality headers you can buy...They come with coated y-pipe...

i love my slp's. Great gains, moderate install, decent plug access. I was leaning toward mac's but i got a great deal on my slp's plus i didn't want a slip fit primary. No matter what the brand people always have leaks with them.
