I've got hooker LTs and true duals as well. With the bullets it was LOUD as hell, but still al great sound. I switched to the new Borla Pro XS mufflers and now its quieter than stock. No resonance either. If you don't want the car loud, these will definitely do it. Ultimate sleeper sound. I just hope the car didnt lose much power. I will be back to the dyno to see soon.

I don't have duals but for the steering linkage you can get a rag joint eliminator from www.unbalancedengineering.com, ask Jason for one, it's like 40 bucks shipped and replaces that rubber/fiber disc so the heat from the headers won't mess with it and make your steering slop...

To me the sound is just perfect and I have a convertiable. The car is loud when first started and rattles little things in your car. When you are just doing casual driving between 1500rpm and 2500rpm's it is pretty quiet as long as you are giving it a little bit of gas, but if you let of the pedal to coast the sound is loud but like everybody says, loud to one person is quiet to others. I think it is perfect.

I had true duals with an X pipe and two bullet mufflers before, it was way too loud for me. Maybe because I had no cats, or that I had a cc306, I was not been able to listen to the radio, and the car was a police magnet back then. Now I managed to fit two bullet mufflers and two turbo mufflers (summitracing, $15 a piece) before the rear axle, and my car sounds very nice. My advice would be to go with turbo mufflers, they are cheap and do a good job. Anyways you will get your mufflers damaged if you will go before rear axle, there is enough of actual ground clearance on camaros for true duals before the rear axle. You can always change turbo mufflers for another set for just $30.
