Red face Hooker LT Slip-Tube

Wow..I got tired of my slip-tube leaking so I thought I would get it welded up so I did..

Well, that was the easy part..It was a total bitch getting that thing back in there..

I took everything off that side of the motor including all the kmember bolts also..I had to beat the crap out of the underneath of my car so I could get the flange to fit between the kmember and the bottem of my car..I had the kmember dropped about 2 inches, had motor mount and bracket off, motor was lifted about 5inches, and it still didnt slide in there..There was NO way this header would go in from the bottem escpecially since I have a Canton Oil pan but it did go in from the Top with ALOT of force..

I would suggest NOT welding it up and just deal with the leak

This was about 6hrs of hard work on my part but Im glad its over..

Atleast it wont leak again

Should have used air duct tape. (The shiny heat-duct tape used in your house). It seals airtight, isnt bothered by the heat. Good stuff
