SLP does not make long tubes for the LT1. Go with Hookers or another LT header.

I think that the best would have to be FLP...you might have gotten that confused with SLP, like Shelby said...SLP doesn't make a long tube for the LT1, only the LS1. And the best bang for the buck is JetHot LTs....its an exact replica of the Hookers, but the JetHots has thicker metal, and they are coated inside and out. I think it was 512 shipped to your door...not sure on the exact price. Where in Charlotte do you live?

Definately man go with the Long tubes. Id say Jet Hots they are the best I think on the market. In comparison to the FLP headers Id believe that they are way over priced although I think the complete setup is something like 1200 with dual cats but If your gonna have Lts there is no point in running cats..... just a waste of money. IMO. Go with Jet hots you wont regret it man.

Good Luck,

Although the Jet Hot's are good headers, I think that it's morally wrong that they ripped off the Hooker design. After all, they do have intimate access to all Hooker variants.

Hooker put alot of time and effort into designing an outstanding header for the 4th gen - all so Jet Hot can copy it? I'm not going to support this.

I bought Hooker LT's and couldn't be happier.

BTW, my Mufflex y-pipe didn't fit worth a poop. I had to cut it and re-weld in 4 places.

You know...I don't think that its wrong that Jet Hot copied Hooker...I mean come on here! Thats like saying Chrysler copied Chevrolet because the hoods are very simular on the Sebring and the newer body style camaros. I think it was a very good idea, it gives the consumer another option for them to consider...also its a chance to make some real good money! The Jet Hots are NOT 100 percent the same...just simular. Personal, because I want some clearance after I'm done installing my Headers, I want to go with JET Hot because the "hug" the floor pan better than the Hookers...also I really like the fact that the flanges on the jet hots are thicker...not much but it is thicker. But then again, its all your choice and personal preference. I was going to go with Hooker because thats a brand poeple have stuck with for years. Alot of the guys back in the late 60 and early 70s actually bought Cragar pipes....anyone remeber those??

GreenGobbler: Not to change the subject either but I live in Indian Trial too. Right next to Sun Valley HS. PM me and we'll have to meet up somewhere.

Jet Hot coats thousands of Hooker headers.

Jet Hot released a header that's almost identical to the Hookers.

Open your eyes. It's a rip-off.

I realize that you like your Jet Hot headers. I however choose not to support a company that immorally takes advantage of their position in the marketplace.

Notice how the Grotyohahn's and the FLP's aren't identical to the Hookers. It's because they came up with the design on their own.

Obviously! That's what Jet Hot thought also. Robbing a bank is also a "chance to make some real good money", but that doesn't mean it right.

Well there you go...those pics, you can see that they are not exactly the same...if the two headers where, then yes I would agree that Jet Hot goes around and rips off other vendors. But they aren't the same...just in some aspects. I still haven't decided which header I want...and I'm not sure if I'm getting the JetHot or not. Like I said, Hooker has been doing this for years.....and JH hasn't. Common sense tells me that I should go with the vendor that has been in production the longest and has had the most postive feedback.

Robbing a bank isn't a really good example. And if JH did rip them off...why the hell doesn't Hooker sue? Actually why doesn't Holley sue? Not argueeing here just a little curious about why some poeple absolutly love the JHs LTs, while others (this is the first time I've ever heard of this) think they are a scam. And I do agree with you (Mike) about how they immorally took advantage of their postion in the market. But I guess thats life.

Hooker does not patent each individual header design / tube routing. If they were to sue, they would lose because Jet Hot did not infringe on a patent. What Jet Hot is doing is "legal", but I don't agree with it.

I think they're a scam, but I'll also readily admit they make a d@mn fine header. When you copy the best, then beat their price, you end up with a great product.

This is true, but I won't support it.
