Hooker headers worth $599?

Hooker's headers are so much more money then pacesetters, I was wondering why. Do they give the car a different sound then pacesetter? More power? Last longer?

Re: Hooker headers worth $599?

Imho they are not worth the extra money. if your going to spend 600 bucks and have the coating be gone in a year or so you might as well spend 800 or so im not sure and get some kooks and they will last forever.

I would get the pacesetters though. I have hookers and they didn't fit worth a crap but i got them used for 250 bucks.

Also, I'm sure somebody will correct me if I'm wrong, but the Hooker headers dont have provisions for AIR and EGR which can be a problem if you live in strict emissions environment like I do. That is the reason why I opted for the Pacesetters and also long tubes for around 400.00 is a pretty good deal. However, if I were to do it again, I would have saved more and got the Kooks.

Jethots and pacesetters can be oredered with or without emissions/o2 fittings.
I like the pacesetter non slip fit design on the #1 primary, but I like the flanges the jet-hot/hookers have to connect the Y-pipe.

Either set will work about the same.

I like the slip-fit design of Jet-hots on the #1 primary. I didn't have to take of the steering lingage so it only took 10 minutes to put in. I also haven't had any problems with it leaking.
