I can also reccomend the Random-Tech, sounds dang close to the corsa, which IMHO is the best sounding catback.

Heh, I bought your Random Tech. It does sound pretty good. Even though I have my cutout open :-D

Re: Hooker catback vs Edelbrock...

i have a hooker on my thirdgen and an edelbrock on my 4th gen i like both of them but i have heard that the hooker will drown out cam lope alot.i can still hear my cam at idle with the edelbrock on my 4th gen and i only have the hot cam. the edelbrock fit as close to perfect that any cat back i have ever installed except my buddies GMMG. the hooker needed some denting and bending to make it fit right and not rattle. but then the hooker comes with tips the edelbrock doesnt but i used LS1 cast tips on my 4th gen so that didnt bother me. if i had to do it again i would go with edelbrock

Re: Hooker catback vs Edelbrock...

You can get the Magnaflow catback from www.performance-curve.com for $300 shipped. It's listed much higher on their site, but look up their ebay ad and email the seller from there and inquire about prices without the "Free" cat. I did and they stated the above $300 shipped. I ended up getting a used magnaflow system off the for sale board but I'm pretty happy w/ it. The fit was darn near perfect, zero jury rigging required to get it on properly, sounds pretty good to me... The stainless steel I guess is good stuff, it wasn't used long but the systems I've had on thirdgens (including a Hooker) didn't look this nice after much use at all. The tips were pretty crappy on the Hooker system, kept rusting up/turning dull as hell too.
