Hooker catback ALOT quieter than SLP LM1?

OK I have a built car Heads/cam/long tubes. I have an SLP loud mouth and I love it..but its just too damn loud at idle for my neighbors. I just bought a Hooker cat-back hoping to tame it down at idle and just give it a better tone throughout the rpms(not so raw). Will it make that much of a difference or am I wasting my money? Anyone have any clips of it with long tubes? let me know.-Mark

Very quiet at idle, and cruising. You'll really hear it when you accelerate and at WOT, but not as loud as the LM. It has a great tone.

I don't think so, unless you had a big hole in your stock exhaust. Not even close once you accelerate or go WOT.

well im looking for something that when i start it up in the morning..or at night..it doesnt wake up every neighbor in a 50 yard radius. The loudmouth is ridiculous at startup and at idle...the idle is the biggest problem.

You'll still hear the cam loping.

Re: Hooker catback ALOT quieter than SLP LM1?

its going to be more quiet than the loudmouth by far. the loudmouth in my opinion sounds like crap! thats why i got rid of my and got a corsa. i think your doing urself a favor. if the hooker is too quiet for you, throw in an elec. cut out. that way you have control over your loudness. but promise to post up sound clips....both with loudmouth and with hooker!?!?!
