Hooker Catback
Just got it in today from Thunder Racing, took off my i pipe and the fricken bolt broke inside of the cat where it mounts too. F'd around with it for a few hours to get it out. I also lost my bracket to mount the i pipe that runs over the axle to the body. If anybody knows where I can get that bracket please lemme know.
All in all, its what I expected for $260 bucks, nothing to fancy in the package, nice chrome plating, really thick flanges to mount to the cat and to the brackets. Real clean installation, the tips are kinda funky and one had a slight dent in it.
BUT DAYUMMM!! This thing sounds really good when the engine is under a load, and its as quiet as stock just driving around and sitting at idle, its even quieter at highway speeds than the stock muffler, but when you get on it, its about as loud as my open pipes that I was running, but you can't hear it any more than stock inside the cab.
All in all I give it 4 out of 5 stars because the quality of the materials is quite low, but Hooker did a great job on the overall design of their aero-chamber mufflers.
What I'm planning on doing is welding 3.5" single outlet tips to the rear outlets and coating the system with a black ceramic coating at West Coast Powdercoating, that should take care of all the rust problems.
I also have a video of it, its about 1mb in size, if anybody can host it for me that would be great.
Thanks!!!

I was going to get the power package #3 from Thunder, but both parts were on back order. I called Summit and got thier last one. Was sent from Nevada. I love the Hooker so far. I'll see what it does on the track.
