Hooker cat back question

Are the tips on the hooker just bolted up to it? I looked at a picture of them on Jegs website and that what it looked like. I was wanting to keep the stock rectangle tips and just weld them on. Anyone know for sure about the tips?

Thanks

The tips just bolt on. I have the cat-back waiting to be installed and the tips are seperate.

The problem is that the pipes are 2 1/2 " which is bigger than the stock ones I believe. You'll have to modify the pipe or the stock exhaust tips to make them fit. Maybe that's why you said "weld in"

Thanks.

Are you just going to keep the tips that come with the Hooker?

Not sure yet. I paid a lot for the custom tips that are on my stock exhaust now. You can see them in picture 3 in my sig.

If I can get them to fit well on the Hooker Cat-back, I will use them. I think the Hookers have very nice looking exhaust tips though. I just like the quad rolled lip ovals that I have now.

Some like it, some don't. I never cared for the stock rectangular one's. The exhaust tips were my first mod. Bought them about a week after I bought the car new. Then it took about 4 years before any other mods besides the stereo system.

Those tips do look good on your car. I guess it would just take some getting used to on my car.

A man with the name Javier97Z28 put his stock tips back on his hooker catback, maybe trying contacting him. The stock ones on his looked pretty nice, but he chromed them too. Here is his website for pics: http://www.zmydust.com/index.html

Good Luck
