Hood won`t open

Spent all day and night getting my rear end put in and finishing up the head/ cam install. I take it for a drive and pull back in the garage and go to pop the hood and it won`t open
What the heck do you do to get the hood open? I have yanked on the lever as hard as I could and banged around on the hood, but I can`t get it to work.

Get a broom stick and shove it up from the underside of the car while someone is pulling the release...

Hopefully you didn't leave any tools or anything in there that's binding it up.

Does the cable on the interior feel like it's moving ok? Had a buddy install some stereo stuff and the drivers side kick panel was off. He reinstalled incorrectly and the cable was hanging up in the interior under the dash...probably not your issue, but worth a check.
