Must be pretty educated on LT1's since you go to pharm school and your mods dont go much further than free ones.

Why don't the both of you shut up, and lets get back on topic here. Try doing a search for CAI, that should give you some good leads.

ok well the thread started out nice...

I made my own custom CAI out of 4" PVC pipe and a K&N filter. I seriously doubt there is a system on the market that flows better than this one and at a fraction of the cost. Your not going to break anything by doing stuff homemade unless you leave PVC chunks in the pipe or something that the motor can suck up, but I don't think I know anyone thats done that yet IMO it turns a first mod into almost a "free" mod.

Oh, and I have "worthless" shorties too, so combined with the homemade CAI and rigged up dynomouth, my car must be really slow now

hey guys, i didnt mess up the thread. I told him that homemade CAI are just as good if made correctly, but this guy came in and said not to "nig rig it" so i told him off. He got mad blah blah blah. Point is, DO the homemade one and save your money. and yes, despite his post, shorties do give great gains.

You can make an aswome azz homeade air intake..."IF" (keyword)
you have the right parts to make it look and perfomrnm right. Don't bother wasting to lift your hood if you have a Super Mario Bros Intake kit.

You can get some of the parts here
