Holley 58mm TB - Throttle cable hook-in way too big! Anybody had this problem?
I'm about an hour from firing it up for the first time with the new LE2 rebuild and when we hooked the throttle cable into my new Holley 58mm TB, the area where it goes on the Holley is WAY too big...not only is the hole too big where the round thing pivots in there, the passage where the cable goes underneath is way too big too. I mean, it just wallows around in the opening like it's not even meant for that size! ARG! I can't believe this. I can't imagine many people on this board having this problem with their Holleys or there would be messages everywhere and I'm not finding any so far. I just can't imagine how Holley could get that wrong unless they sent me the wrong one, but the sticker on the box has the right part # for 93-97 FBody. If anybody has any idea what is going on, please reply. I would hate for something like this to hold me up =/
Thanks!
Thanks!
my mechanic has been driving it for the last two days working out some kinks...i should be behind the wheel tonight
he said it's definitely nasty so im anxious to get it. he said it's bucking/jerking some at low rpm with that cam, but hopefully that something that can be tweaked in the tune.

I had the stock convertor in it for a month or two before trying a 3k, then a 2400 stall...the 3k was just too loose for me for daily driving.....3k rpms to go 30mph was a bit excessive for me.
Rob,
It sounds like you answered the biggest question I had right now which was can the converter lockup speed be controlled with the tune and it sounds like it can! I bet that is all I am going to need to smooth it out since i have a Vig 3200 converter with my 3.23 gears.
