hmmm i think i just messed up big time..jethot slipfit tube...read

thought i was done basicly, i hooked everythingb ack up, bolted motor mounts on etc etc boltedsteering knuckle back up, put plugs in, ran wires,...now im tryin to get this slip fit in with hte header bolted up....wondering if its even possible...did any1 get it on when the rest of the header was bolted up? need any info...ty alot--

yes i bolted the drivers side header on then put the slip tube in, it is a very tight fit but it will go, just keep working the tube in and out to wear some of the coating off, i also used a thin layer of high temp silicone, this seemed to help by acting as lube for the tight slip joint,

i didnt need to remove my steering shaft even,

That's the only way to do it in my opinion.
I had to sand mine down to remove some of the coating from the end of the slip pipe so that it would fit in.

You don't want to go crazy because it needs to be a tight fit.
It was really hard to get it to go in but I don't have a leak.

ok im extremely happy to hear that, i think im going to use some soap to try to get her in...ive already sanded

if you have the driver side header already tightened down, loosen it up some to allow more room/play to maneuver the slip fit primary into place, then tighten it down completely after its in...
