So i'm going to the dyno next week after my cam is installed. Just curious as to what i should be expecting as far as whp/tq and maybe a track time. Car
is a 95 lt1 6spd camaro. It put down 262whp/285tq with just hollowed cats.
Current mods-
k&n cai w/ tb air foil
jet hot long tube headers no cats, no egr
custom y pipe with dual cutouts to a borla exhaust
spec stg. 2+ clutch w/ short shifter
cc502 w/987 springs, seats, locks and ti retiner
comp cams 1.6 sa rr's
fresh rebuild on the 10 bolt with 3.73s
replica zr1 rims 275/45/17 nitto 555r's in the rear and idr the size up front

6 speed car with stock heards and CC 502 cam, I would guess 320 RWHP.

Track times are all about 60 ft times and how well you can shift. A 2.10 60 ft time will get you a 13.1 1/4 mile ET and a 1.70 60 ft will get you a 12.3 1/4 mile ET.

From what I understand i though the cc502 was a slightly larger cam the an lt4. Ive seen and lt1 with an lt4 cam with supporting mods putting down 340whp all day. I was expecting more then 320whp.

I'd say around 335rwhp. 340 rw would be pushing it. Who did you tune?

Pick up a used 52mm TB and a crank pulley. The two should be good for another 10rwhp. If its not tuned yet you need one badly.

No its not a problem at all, there are plenty of places. The most common for mail order tunes are madz28 amd pcm for less. They do great work

I would go with either Bryan at Pcm4less. or Madwolf. I use pcmforless, they nailed my car dead on. My hp and tq curves are flat ramps up. Perfect.

Getting the tune could or may net 5-25hp depending on many variables.

Get one before the dyno or you may end up very unhappy.

Bryan has a program where he will send you a tuned pcm for your year. You will pay a deposit on it and then once you install it you send back your old one for a deposit refund. I really like it. Leaves you with no down time.

How many miles on the motor? Did you have it rebuilt before the cam install?

Hydraulic roller cams dont need a real "break-in" like old flat tappets. I just do a quick oil change after the first 10 minutes or so of it idling.

As for power, I would say 320, 330 tops if the tune is nailed. I don't see 340 without head work and a 502...
