Cool Hit the track last night w/ video

Didnt get 13.9's like i wanted ...only got in 6 runs (track was jammed and a bunch of breakdowns)
how i did:
#1 - 14.298 @ 100.68 - excuse for not running a 13.9: spun hard thru 1st and 2nd
#2 - 14.072 @ 100.03 - excuse for not running a 13.9: 9.145 in the 1/8th
#3 - 14.000 @ 100.23 - excuse for not running a 13.9: headlights were up lol (was so pissed off when i got this slip)
#4 - 18.552 @ 50.42 - excuseS for not running a 13.9: Spun thru first, hit 2nd spinning, hooked hard and threw my foot off gas, missed third, coasted thru traps
#5 - 14.061 @ 99.27 - excuse for not running a 13.9: car broke up in 4th
#6 - 13.860 @ 100.6 - excuse for not running a 13.9: ran a 13.8 instead

to turn this into a technical thread: on the 5th run it broke up and started studdering really badly in 4th, hench the crappy trap, the opti has almost 140,000 miles on it so we're thinking that is the culprit since the car got new plugs/wires in the spring...the car was the coolest it was all night so that isnt it, clutch held fine and i cut the 2nd best 60 of the night, shifts were all extremely clean...it didnt do it on the 6th run so i figured it was just a hiccup...but on the way home it would start breaking up as soon as i was WOT in 3rd, it still starts up strong and runs thru 1st 2nd and 3rd hard like it should, last night was the first time its ever done it in 3rd, it does it in 4th every once in a while...im gonna see if i can get my boy to log the car to see whats up with it, but that wont be for a couple weeks or so....any ideas?

What were your sixty foot times like? Looking at your sig., considering you have a CAI as your only mod., I would say your times are not that far off. I'm sure your car has a little more in it though.

Re: Hit the track last night w/ video

I figure with a 2.0 60', a lil weight taken out, a fresh complete tune up including opti, and some free mods 13.5 is mine on street tires ...too bad i have to wait to spring now
a cutout has been sitting under my bed collecting dust for at least a year, i need to get that in there one of these days

Re: Hit the track last night w/ video

I run a 13.4 now on street tires. When I put my Nitto's on I hope to see a 13.2
