Hit 6k rev limiter and...

well, nothing happened...but long story short, I slipped as I was going for a hard shift into second, but my feet still thoguht I was going to second and timed it as if I shifted and dumped it, but I was in neutral and spun to 6k or close to it. No noises or anything or driveability problems, but I was just wondering if I should be worried - I know ppl shift at redline daily, I never do - but this one time I did happened to be in neutral.

Unless something makes a noise it shouldn't I wouldn't think anything of it either.. I push mine to ~6700 all the time, only thing I'm worried about is a valve spring going out.

Thanks guys - I've just had bad luck lately with the car and other things and wanted some encouragement to get this off my mind.

When my car had just a CAI it saw 6800+ a lot of the time, I wouldn't worry at all.

6K isn't bad I shift there all the time. I even bounced there a couple... just don't hold it there.

Mine is at 6500 with my cam. Still pulls hard right before I bounce of the limiter, may bump it up a few more knotches. I did the same when I blew my clutch. Didn't go into gear, but my feet still got back on the gas.
