High tranny temp?

Yesterday my friend and I got our akm cable and hooked my car up to the free scan software and found out that my tranny temp was at 235 degrees F. We read the temp on 2 programs and it was the same. I'm no where near a tranny expert, but shouldn't the tranny temp be a little cooler? I have a stock converter and this was after driving on the highway. I'll be getting the b&m 24,000 cooler next pay check. One last question, does anyone know, on average, the amount this cooler cools down the tranny?

Thank
Ryan

Should pull the temp down about 20-30 degrees. Mine never goes over 185-190. In stop and go traffic with the fans on it might hit 195. Put that cooler in ASAP.

well I can tell you, I have a stock drivetrain and my tranny temp was at 225 F. quite hot, hot enough to boil water...maybe a tranny cooler will be mod #3 for me. who knows
