High speed vibrations

Hey everyone,

i noticed a vibration in my car from about 90mph-125mph anything above that speed and there is no vibration at all.... what could cause this ?
I did a search and most indicated the driveshaft as the problem source... I doubt that this is the case here, since evey vibration is gone after 125mph.... do you think my poly tranmission mount could cause that problem ? Maybe even the Borla pipe that is almost touching something ? Weird thing is that its only from 90-125..

Thanks for your help,
Alex

Re: High speed vibrations

my $$ still goes to the DS...

it's right in the correct speed range. after a certain speed the frequency gets high enough to probably not notice it.

LS1 or 1LE shaft

Re: High speed vibrations

I have the same problem on my 97/M6. I changed the driveshaft to an LS1 aluminium, balanced and rotated the tires, and changed all the brass and bearings in my tranny and it is still there. The only thing that I can think of that still might be the culprit is the mainshaft. It has 160K on the clock and that is the only thing that hasn't been changed. When the brass and bearings were changed the guy said that it will need to be done soon depending on how I drive it. The guy quoted me $700 to do the shaft.

Thanks,
Anthony
