high performance heads

I am in search for an awesome set of heads. I actually don't know what to look for when it comes to heads? If anyone could help me out I will appreciate it very much. I was thinking of going with some high performance LT4 Heads. What do you think???

I seen the LT4 conversion kit but I'm thinkin alot of people are going to do it so I want to build my own kit. I also plan on doing a 396 stroker. There has to be better aftermarket heads for the LT4. And thats what I'm looking for.

You should list some goals IMO, as most could save $1k+ on aftermarket castings & spend more on higher quality work & meet their goals with production castings.

A budget is always good too, expect to spend $1500-2k in labor/machinework/parts, whether it's on a $200 set of stockers or a $1000 set of afr/gm lt4's.
