high oil pressure and rpms.??
high oil pressure and rpms.??
When ever i start the car up the oil pressure is higher then it normally is.. Its like just over 40 at start and sometimes its almost half way to the next line.. it used to be at the 1st quorter mark and when i accelarate (depending on how fast) it would go up to about 40 and drop back down..
It will also give off like a vibration dou to the high oil pressure im thinking.
The oil pressure will only go back down to normal once then engine has reached about normal temps.
the engines idle rpms are also up. around 1k or 1.2K and those go down to when the car reachs normal temp.
So what could be the problem????
Thanks

Oil is thicker until it's warmed up fully, thats why yours and everyone elses oil pressure is higher after cold start.
The pcm sets the idle higher until it's warm too.

o well that was the reason i asked.. it used to NEVER do this at all and the oil pressure was normal it will also give off this weird vibration that doesn't feel right.. like there is something wrong.
i did start it up one time.. (after the car has been sitting for awhile and the temp was all the way down) and it started up like normal... but i think i felt the brakes were a lil different..
Could there also be a problem cuz this has started after i like slamed on my brakes and the car kinda slid so could there be something to do with the brakes? and not to mention that its like 90-100 degrees outside..
