Friend thinking of buying 30th An. LT4
Friend thinking of buying 30th An. LT4
We need to know how to tell if it's a real LT4. Will it say in the VIN or is there something that makes it look different. He's checking it out tomorrow so your help is appretiated.
If I'm thinking right, all the LT4 F-Body cars are individually numbered to 29 for the firehawk and to 1XX for the SS. Sorry, can't remember the exact SS number. They should have a plaque on the dash. Don't know how hard that is to fake, but you should be able to verify it via the vin number.

Their is also an SLP sticker on the radiator support. And another on the passenger door that lists the options and car#.
Other than the red powdercoated LT4 intake (the ports are noticably taller), it will also have stainless steel exhaust manifolds, the SLP 'dual dual' exhaust, and resonators between the muffler and tips.
It will also have an LT4 harmonic dampner, which will be easy to notice if you're familiar with what a stock LT1 dampner looks like.
