high idle, can fix by blippin throttle? im stumped

when i drive around and give it any gas 9 times out of 10 when i let off the idle stays around 1800-2000. if i let off the gas it will keep pullin when it gets to that rpm. if i push in the clutch it will stay there.

if i blip the throttle fast it will idle back down. and seems like when i give it gas the next time it seemslike it is kinda hung. could there be something keeping it from going closed all the way. ( i have cleaned the **** out of it with b12. spraying while its runnin) i dont know what it is.

anyone know of this same problem? seems better since i cleaned it and the MAF. but still does it. before i cleaned it it wouldnt idle down hardly at all.

I had a 91 TPI that would not idle down, but it rpm was alot higher.
Turned out to be a bad throttle position sensor.

My RPMs would hang after I cleaned my TB. I dabbed some oil of the TB butterfly rod where it enters the housing; problem solved.

Check and see if the blades are dragging. The bushings on the shaft might be worn causing it to bind. First thing I would check.

Also make sure that your cable isn't getting hung up on something, I had that issue at first when my monoblade went on and it turned out that the cable was getting stuck on some other wiring in the area. I have since rearranged things up there and the problem disappeared.

Throttle body shaft bore is worn out, run the idle screw in just a little bit and it will quit for awhile
