Well, I don't have the link anymore but I would stay away from this mod. I did it on my car and now it has lead to bigger lighting issues. Now when I hit the high beams the lights shut off totally. Fog lights don't work now either..I have replaced the fuse, even thought it wasn't bad and also replaced the relay also and still no luck. I am still digging into this. I bet Brent's site's got it.

I've had no problems. All you do is cut a wire going to a relay and ground it.

Why is this desired/needed? I have noticed write ups on this since I started surfing the f-body sites. You wouldn't want to have your bright lights on in fog, so what is the advantage/point of this?

Like my three year old says..."because."

I have this mod & no problems at all. If anyone needs a copy of the walk through, shoot me a PM with your e-mail. I saved it as an adobe PDF file and I'll e-mail it to ya.

I think the term 'fog' lights is somewhat outdated. More like 'driving lights'. 99.9% of my driving is done in clear conditions. I have my driving lights aimed to fill the light void about 15' in front of my car just under where the low beams start. It's nice to keep the driving lights on regardless of whether your high beams are on or not. Since they point low, there is not too much light for oncoming cars. Which is why they are off by default anyway. Has nothing to do with fog.

It really helps on the Pontiacs to get more light, since the factory headlights suck.
