I just took my headlights off of my 96 and broke the bulbs out of the headlight. Went to walmart and bought me the blue HID bulbs( i think it was #9006 or 9005) and just super glued it into place. It worked now I got those bright blue headlights...................... Look pretty cool.

Check out ebaymotors.com. Kits for 9006/9005 seems to run $300-$400 a pair. Just have to pick the color (temp) you want. Most of these kits include the ballast, wiring and bulbs but you'd better keep an eye on the feedback. Lotsa scammers out there

Purple (12000K)

Bluish

I imagine there are "regular" vendors for these, but they seem to be all over ebay.

Good Luck!

Anybody else got an alternative for the '93-'97's? I got PIAA super white bulbs in my '02 and want to have that Euro style HID sim look in my '96.

I thought there were sealed beam Silverstars, though.

Any 9006 can be fit in your low beams, any 9005 in your highs. I am using the Nokya Stage II's and their nice. I built a wiring harness and it helped noticeably (bulbs are rated at 80W and 100W respectively). I have heard there is a 130W low from Ichibahn. Are your PIAA 9006/9005's? If so you can just use the same ones in the 96.

Here are headlight Mod instructions I used.
