Hey guys will this engine work with my car?

I made a post below that I was going to rebuild my 94Z that has about 145,000 but still runs fine........ WELLLLLL I just found what I think is a good deal on a 95Z motor. If I decide to just go ahead and buy this 95Z motor and have it rebuilt with my big heads, cam, and all my other goodies will it just bolt right into my 94Z and everything match up etc..... I didn't know if there was any difference in going from my 94 to a 95 motor as far as mounting, wiring etc.... Is $900 to much to pay for a 95Z motor complete that has around 63,000 miles on it. It does not have the wiring harness for that price but I figure if it will match right up I won't need the computer ECM or the wiring harness.

thanks guys!

Look around at LT1 prices, but I think that is a decent price for one.

I know of no reason that would not be a zero issue swap.

wasn't 95 the first year of the vented opti? No other differences though that i know of, sounds like a good deal to me. If your gonna get your stuff swapped on though why not just rebuild yours. 63k isn't a lot of miles, but it is still used.

Well my car still runs great and I don't want to be without it for a month or two while it is being rebuilt so I just thought I would buy a used Lt1 and have it built up big time and than when it is ready go ahead and just do the engine and swap and be back in action.....?

The cams are not different...the only thing is like already stated above, the '95 is the first year they went to a vented opti. This shouldn't really cause any problems for you though.
