Unhappy Hey Guys I need help!!!!

As the subject says...Help!!!
Im having a very difficult time deciding which Roller rocker to buy.. Are there any other RR'S that are just as good as Comp. Cams Pro mag'sand Crane Race Gold rr's? I mean are any of the cheaper ones just as good? I dont have much money. Also don't our cars use 3/8 screw in studs? Why are some using 7/16th studs instead? Is it better to get self alighning or non w/ hardened pushrods, guideplates and new studs. I'll probably go ahead and get new hardened pushrods, guideplates(unless they're not really needed), new studs, and LT4 springs. Also for everyone who has installed LT4 valve springs, are they direct drop ins?Can i just take the stock ones off and just put these in there place w/ no changes at all? No shimming involved? I know these are alot of questions but i really need some experienced helped here. SO. i'll summarize: What RR? What RR's will clear stock valve covers? NON-self aligning or self-aligning? 3/8 or 7/16 screw in studds? So i'll know which RR to purchase to match the studs.. Also ,will the CC pro mags clear the stock valve covers? All the other HP roller rockers look great, but will they fit my 93' and are they just as good as the two best sellers? Also will any of them fit under stock V C's? Please Help.... I know most everyone here has done this mod.. I just dont want to buy everything and find out the hard way that something i ordered wont work.. Thanks alot guy's .. I trust your expertise.......Erik

I can't answer all of your questions, but I can tell you. Crane gold self alligning RRs clear factory valve covers. Also LT4 hot springs are a direct replacement for stock springs using all factory hardware. Although shims might be required to achieve the correct installed height. But if you're not changing the cam, it's probably not a big deal.

That's a lot of questions that you have there.
3/8 is stock 7/16 is what a lot of people go to when going to non-sa RR's They are more stable than the 3/8 are.

As for going to non-sa or sa rr's is your choice the non-sa will be more stable at higher RPM's but like what was said above when you jump to the bigger stud your choices become more towards the non-sa style. IMO

The LT4 springs are drop in replacement springs, they don't require shimming at all.

As for the comp pro-magnum series I'm not positive but I think they do require some type of modifications to the valve cover but it's mainly to do with the bracing inside of it. I know someone else can step in here on that one. The alumiumn that they sell you should not have anyproblems with them for clearances.

For the money that you going to spend you might look at GM prices for there LT4 Springs and RR's might be cheaper to go that route. I know the HotCam kit comes with springs,RR's and a LT4 HotCam, for a few dollars more you can get a cam.
