i was thinking that too, but if it was low on fuel pressure would it also cause you to smell gas when you do try to get on it? you can smell it but very very faintly

you should start by scanning it for codes, checking fuel pressure, and even just pop the hood while its running it at night and mist the wires with some water to look for arcing

yea i found a friend who can scan obd1 cars and he has a fuel pressure gauge and tonight i'll try the mist trick. thx

well saw no wires arcing and noticed it was running rich at idle. so spark problem then? it was popping a bit at idle thru the exhaust
