Hesitations and Clicks/Leaking Oils
My old 93 z28... when it's given a lot of gas, gunned, it clicks, hesitates, and then takes off. When it's slowly accelerated, it clicks and hesitates, and doesn't move. When I drop down to 2nd or Drive, it'll go. What's up with this? I have an automatic, by the way.
And also, there's oil all over the front of the engine, underneath the pulleys and stuff, and all around the oil pan, and most of the leaking oil drips close to the transmission pan. Any thoughts about anything?

1st thing Clean ALL that crap off the front of your poor motor.
2nd Fix the oil leak (intake most likely)
3rd change Plugs, wires, fuel filter, air filter
Take it out and she what it does.

I could be way off but your leak could be coming from the front cover (timing chain cover). If so maybe the oil has fouled your Opti? I know the optispark is sensitive to water so why not a bunch of oil? I think someone on this board even mentioned fouling their opti with a bad leak from the front of their intake manifold.
Also sounds like it could be coming from your oil pan gasket, and I would think fouling your Opti that way would be difficult (maybe not impossible). Clean that thing up and figure out where the leak is coming from is step one.
Then do the "easy" things like cheking your plugs an wires. How long has it been since you replaced the plugs?
If it is your front cover and you need to replace it you should consider replacing the water pump and Opti if they have many miles on them. If you find your opti has oil all over it during the gasket replacement swap it even if it only has a few miles on it, you'll be happy you did.
