Question hesitation after injector install... why?

So this problem is a little strange because it only happens sometimes. After installing some SVO 30#ers I noticed when i first start the car(starts fine btw) it has a pretty severe hesitation off idle. The car wants to bog really bad and almost sputters a little under 1500 rpm. but when it gets warm though, the problem completely goes away and throttle response is back. I have also noticed the warmer it is outside, the less hesitation I get. so far I have made changes in the injector offset and injector constants table for the larger injectors. any ideas?

Did you try to run them on stock offsets? What mods do you have?

You need to tune for those injectors my suspicion is that the ECM still thinks that you have the stock ones in there and running the same pulse.

Same pulse with bigger injectors= more fuel = rich running engine= poor performance.

i ran stock offsets first and has this problem so i then went with some 30# SVO offsets to try and fix the hesitation thinking that was my problem all along.

Well... honestly, I think you have more fuel than you're supposed to. Those injectors are too big for the mods you have right now so maybe you should wait for the cam install and tell us how it feels then.

haha yeah i know they are a little big right now and i had a hunch the might be drowning my car... 2 weeks and the cam goes in so well see if it clears up. at idle the injector pulse mV is between .8-1.00 so they are doing alright with my mods.. just yeah still kinda big.

i still find it odd taht the problem goes away after about a minute of driving... the car doesnt even reach closed loop yet.

Hmmm, the idles I usually see don't normally go over 500 mV although when the car is trying to fight with the bigger cam by bumping the idle a bit, for that instant it may get up to 800ish but then goes back to 150-600. So I still think you're getting too much fuel....
Now don't tell me you sold your own stock injectors.....

actually i meant to say milliseconds instead of millivolts... reading off a scanmaster. i imagine the lowest value is 0.0 so as long as im above that.. things are ok and its usually from .8-1.0.

I have been experiencing the same thing with my SVO 30#.

It didn't used to do it--started after I messed some more with the offsets.

I think it is related to the offsets, but can't say for sure.
