Hesitation above 3 grand help please !!!

my car started acting up just one day out of the blue . It
hesitates real bad 3 grand and above . When you get on
it it feels like it hits a wall about 3 grand and wont go above
4 grand . It starts sputtering and popping about that that time.
What is wrong with it ? Thanks ? Any questions ?

I had a very similar experience just last week. I started to notice for the last month or so that every once in a while my car would studder when I'm racing or jammin gears. Then I took a buddy of mine on a trip to buy a 94 Ta that was bone stock. We raced later that night anf as soon as the car got above 3500 or so it felt like it was towing another car. He walked a full car over me and his Ta was running factory plugs, wires, etc at 87k. So I decided to change the FUEL FILTER since I had new plugs and wires less than 4 months ago. After I changed the filter I took it back out for a shakedown and the stumble and sluggishness was all gone. So I would suggest you start there. Its only a $10 part and takes about 5 mins and it couldn't hurt. Good Luck

I have a vote on your opti. My opti went bad on me and it wouldnt pull past 3 or 4 grand. May want to check into a new opti.

first check the fuel...get a fuel pressure gauge, and change the filter.... then, if you still dont know, check the plugs and wires...make sure the wires are all the way on the plugs, one could of slipped off.
