Hesitation at 2k rpm

Car is a completely'94 Z28 with 145,000, that I bought last week. Before I bought it, it had been driven 3 times in the last year. This only occurs about 40% of the time. The problem is when the tach reaches 2k the motor sputters/hesitates, once the rpm's get above 2k the motor runs fine. This only happens at 2, rpm's. Any suggestion?

My car quit doing that when I installed a Jet fan switch so I assumed it's heat related.

Easy to test the EGR, just remove the vac line and plug it and take it for a test drive.

If you feel it's the opti, a dealer can scan it quickly enough and confirm it.

Based on several other peoples experience on the board, you may want to save time and a lot of money by having the dealer scan it and you do the actual work.

Thanks for the replys, I hope it's not the opti, it only has 35k on it, but it very well could be.
