well i finally got myself a 1994 z28 like ive been hunting for for 6 years now...


not only did i get a z i got a B4C, so i got REALLY lucky,...


so far, ive rewired it. from the headlights back, put a stock LT1 computer in it (still had the police one from what the last owner told me)

new Optispark, wires, plugs, water pump gaskets. hoses, serp belt, its been cleaned like no tomorrow. theres the normal rip in the seat that i will be fixing ASAP...

still needs, front bumper, headlight brackets, power drivers mirror, passenger window switch and power lock switch, heater controlls, and im also looking for an extra radio bezel just for the heck of it just in case,

as for style wise im looking for a 98-02 ss spoiler, and 93-97 ss hood, or maybe even a 98-02 front end mod... heres some pics below from the day i got it to now..

heres some after i repainted the intake and core support, the support was painted green to make black go over it alittle better as it looks better to me...

these are how it looks now, tinted tail lights, marker lights, black berger panel, clean interior, washed, waxed and clean as it can get right now... ive done about 3k of work to the car, if i were to take this to a dealer i dont even want to think about how much it wouldve been,

You are crazy to run the fuel that low (less than 1/4 tank). At that point, you're lucky if you have a gallon of fuel left. Run it dry and your fuel pump may fail.

 

hahahah it was at a 1/2 tank when i started out, it sucked the hell out of tht gas, then again i was at that speed for abouta mile or two so its not too good on gas.....


but now its back t its old ways, overheating AGAIN..... its reall starting to bother me,

can i please get a check lst of things to check to cure this? first it was over heating out of the water pump, i got new gaskets and hose clamps it solved that, but now when it gets to around id say the middle of the temp gauge its SES light comes on, then one line over the halfway mark, the check gauges light comes on.... anyone have a code reader i con borrow? this thing wont make it ANYWHERE that i can get it checked out at. autozone doesnt carry OBD1 anymore neither does murrays.... or advanced.... im screwed royaly in that side... i took picsof it ill post them up...

its just to test the waters out alittle. but i dont think ill get rid if it, just if i can sell it and buy another (maybe an M6) id be happy, ive seen a few on there for around the 3500 range that need alittle work..

but im taking it off there today, feel free to check...

i bought a new radiator cap for it today ($4) it says its for an lt1 so i hope it works.... when i checked the levels today after sitting all night i couldnt even see anything and it took about half a bottle if not less of antifreeze to fill it up...

when i started it up with the cap off i seen bubbles coming out of the radiator and it didnt overflow out like it did before....

but it got foamy? does that mean its circulating through the motor?

when i felt of my hose going into the water pump it was warm, the one next to it was cold, and the rest i didnt check (was in a hurry)
