Here are the specs.. help w/rpm range

Hey guys... here is a cam I had given to me... to use... I'll be using it w/ported heads... What I'm trying to figure out is wether or not its gonna turn too many rpms to make its power for me to use spray as well... in other words.. will it make power above 6500 or so... b/c I'd like to not have to turn that high w/spray on stock bottom end....
268/277 548/564 108cl solid roller

Thanks guys

i am assuming those duration numbers are advertised. if so that should be a very good street cam for a stock bottom 350.

It's a hydraulic roller? What is the displacement? What is the CR? What is the duration at 0.050"?

Everything you guys have asked for is in the first post!.. With the exception of duration at .050 which is 240/246. Ported heads...

Damn man, if your running a stock bottom end with that big cam it would have to rev pretty high to make power. the cc306 and gm847 are a little smaller and have to be revved over 6500rpm, then on spray it should put a little more stress on the bottom end. i believe there are better alternatives cam wise like the 224/236 114LSA. just for comparison the cc306 is 230/244 and the gm847 is 234/242 112LSa also, you might want to try maybe a custom grind or a smaller shelf cam on a 114LSA.

Or re-ring/re-bearing the bottom end along with some forged pistons and that should give you more peace of mind.

Solid roller cams are completly different than hydrolic, I would call up a shop and see what they have to say, most people on here have no experience with solid rollers.

Cam

Yeah, the GM847 hydro that I had would turn up to 7000 easy, and your cam is bigger than the 847.

lt1 kenobi: You have a PM also!

Hmmm guess I'll have to wait and go with a hydraulic roller .. something smaller... the cam is free so thats why I was wondering... But I don't think 6800 shifts and 125 shot are gonna do well on the stock bottom end

You would lose very little shifting 500rpm lower. Still, it's a big cam.
