help!!! wont rev after spring instal....

help!!! wont rev after spring instal....

i have a 94 camaro z28 i just put in a new set of springs, (918 beehives) retainers and all the matching components , well i got it back together fire it up and went to rev it a lil just to see if it was the same , and it wasent i have a th350 trany with a race stall and usually when i hit the gas it about tachs out , well now it spits and spuders , i havent conected my o2 sensors yet because i also pus a set of longtubes on and waiting for the extentions but it shoud still rev shouldnt it ? and i know this is a o2 sensor but when it gets hot i gets worse ....what should i do about the reving deal?

Check your lifter preload.

well how do u do that .i know it sounds dumb but hey thats why im not a mechanic... lol.. , i used my stock lifters if that help on anything

Your rockers are too tight, loosen them up.

If you don't know what he's talking about with lifter preload then that indicates what the problem could be. If you adjust the valves too loosely you'll get all sorts of noise from the extra clearance and lower power output. Too tight and the car runs poorly and you run the danger of burning valves because they don't close. Here's a link to show you how to adjust the valves....

Don't bother with the engine running method. It's just messy and isn't going to give you much over a non running method.
