HELP! White Smoke!!!!!!

So my brother was trying to pass me on the road the other day ( he has an 03 accord 2.4liter) and i thought it would be cute to leave it in 5th gear at about 2grand and see if i could hold him off..... Well i floor it and all of the sudden a ****LOAD of white smoke bellows out of my exhaust... like it covered his whole ****ing car..... So my question is... WTF does this mean... It only does it under load at 100 percent throttle and i dont know what this means.... By the way it has 78K on it..... Do i need a rebuild already? Keep in mind about 50 k of the 78 is pretty hard driven miles.... I called my mechanic and he wants to do a compression test... Is white smoke burning oil?? Or does this mean that i am running lean/rich?? I have no clue. Somebody please help....

It might have been a carbon build up blowing out the exhaust..

If its still blowing white smoke, might have antifreeze leaking into the combustion chamber...

White smoke usually means you are burning coolant. Compression and/or leakdown test and even a cooling system pressure test should help in determining what is really going on.

Well i guess my question is.... What makes this happen??? My mechanic said it could be a cracked block but then i would be overheating.... which i def am not.... so what are other causes of burning coolant?? Thanks alot for the help by the way guys.

Head gaskets are the most frequent offenders. Cracks are not as common.

but wouldnt i be overheating or something?... What really sucks about this is that i dont have a dipstick to check and see if there is coolant in the oil....... Should i just take it in to my mechanic... and if it is a head gasket.... Should i just go ahead and get my heads ported and valves done while i am at it???

Check your coolant level. If its low look at the ground for leaks, or around the motor. If you can find any leaks then you might be burning it

If you are only seeing smoke on occasion, the leak may be small at this point. No dipstick? It's up to you if you want to do extra work to your heads or not.

Check the coolant level in the radiator when cold.

Check the radiator, not the reservoir (unless you check your reservoir often and know the level).
