Help!! water in pcv/throttle body
97 ss /m6 /slp 1 3/4 headers...new o2s/ fuel pump
ok guys i noticed that my car was running rich .scanned at 11% rich at idle so i checked the pcv valve and it was plugged with some TAN COLORED SLIME.checked the pass side valve cover hose to the T.B. and it was all slimed up as well.so i pulled the throttle body off and under the tb cover the sucker was full of codensation and this Tan Colored Crap. it doesn't smell like gas or oil. My coolant is full and clean . My oil is full and clean. What is it????
I drive the car a few days a week but mostly short trips and i change the oil every 850 miles/ six months with mobil 1, 5w 30. car has 70k and i drive it less than 2k miles a year. any help is appreciated....

Totally agree with what was said above. You need to drive the car more, instead of those short trips you need to take it out and drive it for an extended period of time to get the condensation out of the oil. When I worked at an oil change center I saw it all of the time.
About it hurting anything, I'm not sure but water in your oil is never a good thing and the slime that it makes gets caught anywhere it will stick and builds up there

Check the PCV system and make sure it is working correctly. Its needed to pull the blowby combustion vapor out of the crankcase. Water is one of the major products of burning gasoline, so anything that gets by the rings is full of water, and will condense out into the oil if the crankcase is not hot. Getting the oil to full operating temperature is important for keeping the water out of the oil. And, a properly functioning PCV system will minimize the amount of blowby that stays in the crankcase. Excessive amounts of water in the oil may also be an indication of worn rings.
