I have a 97 Z28. Changed the opti, and now the car starts up but instantly quites. It keeps doing this. I changed the opti on my 94 TA and it started up and ran good, no timing issues. Are the 97's Z28 differenent since they have that "pin" on the crank and not the "spline shaft" like the 93-94. Thanks for the help, Troy.

 

$20 says you don't have the opti on correctly. Check to make sure the dowel pin is in the correct hole on the backside of the opti.

It may also do that if you don't have your MAF plugged in.
