HELP!!! SS Won't Run

Only a couple posts under my belt but I need your help already! I picked up a 97 Camaro SS today from a friend of mine. It has a totally forged and built LT1 ($14k worth) and a 14psi procharger. Long story short, it ran great all day and then as I was going down the road after having stomped on it for just a second it died upon deceleration and will not refire. It turns over fine and then starts to fire but dies just as fast. Fuel pressure seems fine. My buddy (previous owner) came right to my aid w/ his scanner which reads "error." He is thinking it's the optispark especially since it's never been replaced. There are 50k miles on the car and about 500 on the motor. What do you guys think? I really need your help! Thanks boys!

Re: HELP!!! SS Won't Run

It sounds like the opti. The same happened to my friend's. When we took it off and shook it, it sounded like a bunch of coins in a can.

Good luck
Ryan
