help with setup

I plan on a 210/224 112 LSA cam for next summer. Does anyone know what the rpm range of this cam is with 1.6RR? I am getting a torque converter now and I want to match it for this cam. Does anyone have this cam; what is your converter's stall and STR? I want to make sure I get the right match-up to compliment the cams strengths.Thanks.

if that is the cam you are going to run then about 2800 would be the largest stall i would run especially if you are going to drive the car everyday. best thing to do would be to contact the stall manufacturer of choice and tell them what you are doing to the car and let them recommend a stall for your exact setup.

I agree with the previous post and limit the stall to about 2800.

what is your purpose with this car? if you can give us alittle more info we can help out a little more. you gonna run nitrous or add a supercharger? if you are adding the cam for a little extra horsepower and sound i would probably go with a 2400 stall and shop around for a good price from a respectable company. if you are going to just drive it on occasion and maybe add gas to it later then get the 2800. what gear are you going to run? advertised stall on a converter could be more or less depending on how much torque you are making so if you are not making gobs of torque and pick a converter that is to high it will be a pig out of the hole and vice-versa.

Right now I have 3.23's. It's a daily driver now, but it does see track time. I want streetability with it. Next summer I plan on getting either a 210/224 112 LSA to run NA or a similar grind with 114 LSA to eventually run with a supercharger (right now I am leaning toward NA). Sooner or later I would get a 12-bolt (maybe w/ 3.42's). I don't want to get a new converter every time I add something that changes the torque output. I am looking for something ideal for all. I was leaning toward the vig 2800 because I can have it re-stalled later, but can the STR be changed to match my torque output then too? Thanks.

yeah they would just restall it higher if you add more power. call the guys at precision and let them know what you have. i have ran their converters for years, since they are close to me, and have had nothing but good experiences with them.
