Help! SES Light & High Idle
I have a LT1 that I have a SES light on and it's P1441 Manufacturer Control Auxilliary Emission Controls (What's this mean and how do I fix it?) I also have high idle at about 1500 RPM's when I put in Nuetral then when I stop 1200 RPM. I just installed an intake and TB so could that be the prob? Vac leak? If not does it have to do with the code? I had the prob before the swap I believe. Maybe I could tune down the tb idle? Thanks for any input.

The problem has to do with the PCM detecting the evap purge switch is indicating it is purging when the PCM is not commanding it to do so. Look for the EVAP switch between the #4 and #6 injector. It has 2 wires going to it. a purple and a black/white wire. Check the voltage on the purple wire with the connector off and key on. Also read across the 2 pins of the switch with an ohm meter with the engine off. Be sure the switch reads infinite. If not, replace it.
