help quick!just cracked wp replacing sensor what to do??
i cracked it tightening the senor to tight now it leaks have to replace tonight.so with that said being that i have a csi can i go with the cheap pump and just put the csi on the new pump.i remember that there was some modifications using the csi like dremel work but i didnt do it so is it hard also is there anything else i should know before i start looks preety easy otherwise.thanks for the help.

Are you saying that you cracked the water pump housing where the coolant temp sensor screws into it? If so, that's pretty much the end of that waterpump. As far as the CSI goes, all you need to modify (besides the obvious of removing the old guts and installing the freeze plug) is to grind four reliefs in the housing for clearance for the screw bosses on the CSI. Of course you'll need to use the non cracked housing. By the way, I understand the Meziere pump requires no grinding.

Just for reference, the sensor is a tapered pipe fitting. The more you screw it in, the more pressure it puts on the hole. The sensor is not made to be screwed all the way in, just until it does not leak. Some thread sealant is also recommended.
