Help Quick- Fuel Injector Broke?

I decided to pull off my fuel rail to see if any of my fuel injectors are leaking, the back left injectors were hard to pull out and when i got it out the #8 injector didng have a o-ring on it but i found it in the hole. I think it's broke though becuase the little plastic piece that's above the injector oring (white plastic piece) is broke. It's split in half. So do i need a new injector?

I would think you would be alright because the o-ring seals it up and the rails hold it in place. As long as it didn't crack any further than just the flange for the o-ring seat.I have some 24# Ford SVO's for sale if you are interested though. Good Luck.......John

You will be OK. I've used injectors without that white plastic piece and they work fine. Just make sure to lube the o-rings with a little bit of oil before putting them back in or you'll have a hard time pushing them in and possibly damage them. You definetely don't need a new injector though.
