HELP!! Problems...
HELP!! Problems...
Okay. I am having several problems. Here goes...
-I have custom dual exhaust. It sounds GREAT, but all the sudden it started to rattle. Well, I shouldn't say "all the sudden" because it happened after my engine started running really crappy. AND, I will tell about that next. But, I can get under there, put my head right next to either CAT, and I hear the rattle. Are they shot? Did they get destroyed somehow? What would have caused them to crumble?
-Second, the engine is running like crap. From day one after my "rebuild" it has shot out liquid out both pipes. But now, the driver's side pipe is shooting out a lot more than the passenger side. And it sputters. It sputters bad. If I give it gas, it kind of bogs down then revs up. It will pull pretty well, but it doesn't have full power.
Do you think it could be the o2's? Maybe they went bad, it is telling the computer to run a really "off" pattern, and that is causing the sputter, which in turn caused my CAT's to melt?
Give me some ideas...

After heads/cam kit on my rebuild motor it ran like crap from the time i started to drive it...
hooked it up to a laptop with tunercat program turns out the knock sensor was shot (pulling over 50 degrees of retard when i revved up)...i needed a lt4 knock module due to the new roller rockers, both of the o2's were not reading correctly...plus it needed tuning...
Before tuning i couldn't even get the car to idle and not die out every 10 seconds...all of those sensors needing replacement dind't help out either

btw...it was actually 4 sensors, 2 o2's, knock sensor, lt4 knock module...

i'd hook the car up to a computer and find out what's wrong first... Perhaps you won't need to change any of those parts. You will need the lt4 knock module if you have roller rockers, tho.
