Help with PowerMaster starter

Is anyone using the PowerMaster starter 9202 on their LT1? I just bought mine and can't seem to get it to work, and it seems that the battery terminal location is different than the oem starter. Any help would be MUCH appriciated. Thanks

Yes I ran a 9202 PowerMaster starter. I used a Summit starter sol relay to distribute power to the starter. I attached the purple wire to signal the relay on. I have since gone to a Summit mini starter, but, the PowerMaster starter worked fine until the gear gave out. B.

I think attachment of the purple wire to the sol that advances the bendix will also work. Remove the normally attached wire as supplied with the starter. As the sol advances the gear to engage the ring, internal contacts distribute power (large terminal) to the torque motor. I would go the the powermaster web site for additional help. B.
