Help! overheating and coolant overflowing

Well the car just about overheats and all the coolant overflows out of it. Put more in to get me home and it overflowed that too. what's the problem?? thermostat? radiator cap? Just did a coolant flush in early november.

Sounds like a thermostat. Get a fail safe type.

I concur. The easiest way to check is when your engine is running warm squeeze the top radiator hose and see if you can feel the coolant going through it. You can also take it out and put it in a pot of water on the stove then see if it pops open. Of course they are pretty cheap so you might as weel just change it and see if that works.

well i just changed the t-stat and filled it back up and all the coolant started leaking out the hole on the bottom of the water pump. What happened??

how come it didn't leak out the bottom to begin with??
