Well, these cars aren't that heavy, you could always push it out of the garage. I would definitely try to jump start it. The alternator may not have been putting out enough to keep the battery charged at idle, and being that it was idling for so long, it could have discharged your battery. I know your battery is new, and chances are that it isn't bad, but it may be discharged. I would definitely try to jump start the car, if nothing else just to rule out one more thing, and who knows, it might (a good chance) start right up for you. Either that or put your charger on it.

LoL. Sorry, I didn't realize it was on a hill. I'm used to pushing 5500 lb. pickups when crap goes wrong. So I guess 3300 lbs seems like a much lesser evil, but still no fun when it's on a hill. Well, I hope that gets it running again, if not, it was worth eliminating something else from the picture, so that everyone else on here doesn't say, did you check the battery? LoL

Well, good luck. Keep us posted.

Something similar happened to me. If the car turn over but doesn't start, check the coil and the wire to the opti-spark. That's all it was for me. Cheap parts to fix too

umm why is it uphill out your garage? never seen that befor, as water tends to go downhill... meaning into your garage

but glad it was jsut your battery, seemed logical, couldnt charge much at idle.

I'm sure it wasn't the charge from the alternator that killed it, it was the heat under the hood.
