Help with new head choice

I am looking for a new set of heads for my 94 trans am. I have a hand ported set that have a little piston damage. Instead of spending the money to fix them i was wanting more horsepower out of an aftermarket set while still giving me room to grow in the future. Ive been tossing around AFR heads. I was thinking that the street ported 210's would out flow my ported ones and give me lots of room for porting. any other suggestions before i sink money into fixing it would be great.

Thanks Chris

Trick Flow. Guys getting really good results with those lately. They port out from 195CC to about 215-218CC's and have GREAT mid-lift numbers. A bare casting set is about $850, plus porting, you're out for around the price of a set of AFR's non-ported.

Exactly how much are you looking to grow in the future, people do ot give stock castings enough credit. There are a handful of vendors here who can give you 400RWHP with stock castings ported and a custom cam on a stock shortblock, imagine what those heads can do on a stroker.

That said IF I were planning to go further than stock castings could take me Trickflows would be the next step AFR is not as wonderful as their reputation.

A stock set ported by Loyd Elliot will take you past 400RWHP for 1/2 the cost.
