Help, Need Torque Specs
Help, Need Torque Specs
I know that these specs are probably simple and many people remember them but I have forgotten them, and my repair manual has walked off on me. I need the torque specs for spark plugs on my car, a 1994 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28, LT-1. I also need the torque specs for the brake caliper pin bolts for front and rear, as well as the torque specs for the bolts that bolt the caliper assembly to the hub.
Are there any sites that might have these specifications listed on them?
Also, another question related to spark plugs. When I was changing them this time around, I noticed that one plug was loose in the block. Is there a reason for this, or something that I am doing wrong? I am using NGK TR-55 spark plugs (not the VX ones, standard copper ones). Any ideas?
Thanks!

Torque specs
Plugs shouldn't come loose. However they should not need to be installed tighter than the required torque spec.

Thanks shoebox, you are the man.
So no ideas on why the plug was loose? I am pretty sure the last time I put them in I tightened them to spec, or as best as possible. Some of the plugs on the right side of the engine I can't get to with the torque wrench, but I get them tight enough. But this was on the left side, which I torque all of them. This time I am sure they are all at 20 on the left side. We'll see what happens.
Thanks again!
