Ok i have a LT1 and im running the Lt4 gm peformance hot cam kit with springs 1.6 roller rockers and shuch and guy mentioned to me that i still have to lash the rockers to zero but i cant just tighten them down to achive zero lash. Can anybody help me.

FYI its the RR that have the set screw to keep the bolt/shank from backing off.

You would probably have a better chance of getting a quick response on the "LT1 Engine Tech" forum. Moving it there......

 

Why can't you tighten the adjuster nut? didn't you loosen the set screw all the way? you should do that and then tighten the nut by hand until it touches the rocker and thats about zero lash, you can confirm by rotating the pushrod while tighting and when you feel drag that is your zero lash.

 

When you get your answer, please also let us (me) know what your mods are to give you 401 RWHP.

Well my car came factory with 310hp then i added Nitrous, ele water pump, under drive pulleys and a few other tricks like computer mods and major trans work

And that figure was on the dyno without all the parts i just bought installed
