Help, my radiator blew!!!

My radiator now shoots fluid out of the side of it so I'd say I need a new one. Anyone have directions or know a good link for a radiator swap? Is it as easy as I think it is? Any time estimates? I am just putting a stocker in since I don't want to spend 600 bucks for a Be-Cool. Thanks a lot for the input!

I would just look in the for sale section for a used radiator. The radiator swap is pretty easy. All you have to do it remove the radiator cover, radiator and fans and radiator hoses.

Once the radiator cover is off and the hoses are removed, does the radiator just slip out or are there bolts to take out? Thanks a lot guys.

I cant remeber exactly but I know there are about 6 clips that hold the condensor on and i think it just sits in the tray on the bottom and the shroud holds it down. I could be wrong its been a while since I took mine out.

I just replaced/repaired mine. The radiator just slides into place. The only thing that has to be removed is 3 bolts for the cover, disconnect the connectors to the fans, slide the fans off, and remove the hoses where they attach to the radiator.

I would HIGHLY recommend going to a radiator repair shop and have it repaired. The endcaps on our radiators are plastic and are prone to cracking. I had my endcap replaced with a NEW one from GM. The radiator was then cleaned & pressure tested for $70 total.

Be cool radiators can be had for $400 around here. A used stock radiator will run about $80-100.

Also, I have an M6. I had the endcap for an automatic equipt car installed. The reason I did this was so that I have a spare cooler for whatever I want to pump through it (brake fluid, power streering fluid, brake fluid, windshield washer fluid, etc.).

Good luck!
